Ferrules, also knowns as uninsulated butt connectors or tubular connectors are bare, tin-plated copper tubes used to splice two electrical wires together. Depending upon the application these are manufactured in short and long variants conforming to IEC 61238-1:2003, with internal wire stops. These are available in various configurations in conductor range 1.5mm² to 800mm².
